Mathematical Models of Brain Multi-Physics

Project Description:

Mathematical modeling describing complex chemo-physical processes taking place in brain can highlight mechanisms of health and disease and, thus, contribute to the betterment of diagnostic and therapeutic tools. The focus of this research is to develop mathematical models and corresponding numerical simulations in MATLAB to study brain functional non-locality and mechano-metabolism in the context of various brain disorders like Alzheimer's disease and glioblastoma. Stochastic aspects will also be considered.
