Quantum magnetometers for deep space exploration

Project Description:

Developing fast sensitive quantum magnetometers for (primarily) deep space applications. The devices operte on the effects of very small magnetic fields on pairs of interacting electrons.

Requirements are somewhat flexible but a basic understanding of quantum mechanics, some understanding of electromagnetic theory, some familiarity with solid state electronics, some knowledge of electrical curcuitsonic materials science
