The scope of this workshop will be to
highlight the strength of multidisciplinary approaches to Biology.
Specifically we desire to demonstrate how the integration of
mathematical-modeling, molecular-interaction networks, evolution,
comparative genomics, bioinformatics, knowledge bases, and the physics of
cellular structures can be applied to empirical experimental biology.
We expect to learn the types of research questions are applicable and
are being pursued within quantitative bioscience groups. We also hope
to
learn what types of programs exist in this new discipline of biological
sciences through interactions with the speakers which attend the workshop
and how they were implemented at their respective institutions.
