SAV Installation Instructions

Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition

NOTE:Immediately after installation of this program and periodically (i.e. daily) thereafter you must run "LiveUpdate" to update your virus definition files.

Failure to update your virus definition files will leave your computer vulnerable to new viruses.

Note also that the instructions below differ slightly from those posted by the Centre for Academic Computing. This is because the College of Engineering maintains a Norton Anti-virus server which automatically manages computers that attach to it. Set it and forget it :-)
