CoE SHM Spring 2007 Meeting Program
The first Center funded project, “New Sensors for Improved Ultrasonic Guided Wave Tomography in SHM,” will be led by Professor Joseph Rose. The project addresses the need for new, more robust and efficient, sensor technology to enable self diagnostic aircraft structures. Recent development of ultrasonic guided wave tomography and imaging potential for defect detection will be leveraged to create new geometric sensor designs. These new sensors will enable advancement of physically based defect imaging. A progress report was given at the Spring 2008 meeting.
