The Nittany Lion Inn is included on the National Trust for Historic Preservation's listing of Historic Hotels of America, and was named one of the six best hotels in Pennsylvania by Meetings East Magazine.
The Nittany Lion Inn at Penn State has been named a winner of an "Excellence of the East" award from Meetings East magazine since 2001, whose audience is meeting planners from across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Happy Valley.com states:

The Inn has wireless connectivity in the Ballrooms, Atrium, Rotunda, and Penn State Room, along with most of the guest rooms. There is no special access requirements or charges. Because it is an old property the connectivity is not always flawless—but all meeting rooms and guestrooms have an Ethernet port in them as well if needed.
