Publications and Style Guides

To achieve a consistent look and feel of all university documents, web pages, marketing collateral and printed matter, Penn State has recommended and developed several style guides.

It is important to note that the university requires proper use of its trademarks and logos.

Editorial Style Guide
Used for items specific to the university; otherwise, refer to the Chicago Manual of Style.
Web Style Guide
For official university, college and department web sites.

Penn State image collection

Contains an archive of various Penn State Marks as well as campus scenese available for use in university documents, presentations and web sites. Please read the accompanying policies regarding use of trademarks, logos and copyrighted material.

ESM Department Resources

In addition to the resources above, the ESM department maintains a media archive, available to ESM faculty, staff and students, only. Login using your Penn State Access Account.

The preferred mark for use in the department is the "two tone" mark. I have placed common versions of this mark, which meet all requirements for print or web, in the ESM media archive:
