Engineering Science and Mechanics has established four annual awards to recognize outstanding staff performance.

The Engineering Science and Mechanics Legacy Award for Planning and Organizational Effectiveness is awarded to an ESM staff member who has developed a detailed desk job description or who has initiated and implemented a plan for cross-training.

The Engineering Science and Mechanics Legacy Award for Creativity and Innovation is awarded to an ESM staff member who has creatively solved a problem or implemented technology to enhance the overall effectiveness of the department.

The Engineering Science and Mechanics Legacy Award for Management is awarded to an ESM staff member who has superbly handled a one-time special project.

The Engineering Science and Mechanics Legacy Award for Service is awarded to an ESM staff who has significantly contributed to the department, college, University, or community.

The ESM Legacy Awards were created and funded by ESM Administrative Assistant Susan Croyle.
