Joseph Rose to offer new course in Business Opportunities in Engineering

Professor Rose notes "the course is designed to provide engineering students with a suite of strategies that can lead to developing their own successful career in business, increasing their job satisfaction, developing entrepreneurship techniques, climbing the corporate ladder, and acquiring power and leadership."
Professor Rose indicates "the course covers the numerous possibilities that are available beyond the engineering degree including how to recognize opportunities, product development, intellectual property and patents, negotiation principles, quality programs, teamwork, mission and vision statements, business philosophies, partnerships and more".
The course is a 2 credit course with 1 credit of independent study opportunity. The credits can be used towards the Entrepreneurship Minor and as a technical elective for students in the Engineering Science major.
To enroll in all three credits, students must schedule two separate courses:

E SC 496A (Sched. Number 868888 for one credit)
The course meets fall semester 2007 on Monday Evenings from 6:30 to 8:25 PM in 114 EES Bldg.
