Winners of ESM Today announced

The inagural ESM Today Graduate Student Research Symposium was held Saturday, April 19, 2005, on the University Park Campus. The purpose of the symposium was to showcase research activities of Engineering Science and Mechanics graduate students. Dr. Judith A. Todd, ESM Department Head, notes "The quality of the papers and posters was exceptional".
The winners of the paper competition and poster competition (respectively) were:
First Place: Morgan Dautrich (paper) and Eric Hauck (poster)
Second Place: Paul Sunal (paper) and Vivek Verma (poster)
Third Place: Pedro Andia and Joe Geddes (paper) and Michael Petrick (poster)
First Place winners will receive a $500 Breneman Travel Scholarship and a $200 donation from Sabih and Guler Hayek.
Second Place winners will receive a $300 Breneman Travel Scholarship and a $150 donation from Sabih and Guler Hayek.
Third Place winners will receive a $200 Breneman Travel Scholarship and a $100 donation from Sabih and Guler Hayek.
Congratulations to the participants and winners for a job well done.
