On January 1, 2006, Professor Bernhard R. Tittmann, Schell Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics, will have achieved the status of Life Fellow of IEEE "in recognition of the many years of loyal membership and support of the activities of the IEEE.”

Joseph L. Rose, Paul Morrow Professor in engineering science and mechanics, has been elected Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for contributions to guided wave models, instrumentation, sensors, and measurement techniques. The IEEE fellow represents the highest grade of membership in the IEEE.
