Murat Cetinkaya (M.S., ESc) will present a paper entitled "Simulations and Design of a New Green Fluorescence Protein Mutant" at the Materials Research Society Spring-2005 meeting, Biological and Bio-Inspired Materials and Devices

The inagural ESM Today Graduate Student Research Symposium was held Saturday, April 19, 2005, on the University Park Campus. The purpose of the symposium was to showcase research activities of Engineering Science and Mechanics graduate students. Dr. Judith A. Todd, ESM Department Head, notes "The quality of the papers and posters was exceptional".

A sure sign of spring in the Engineering Science and Mechanics Department is the announcement of the Engineering Science undergraduate oral comprehensives. This spring, 23 seniors will present the results of their senior research and design capstone projects during the week of March 28 through April 1. The oral comprehensives are attended by faculty and peers. If you would like to attend a presentation, please contact Ms. Kathleen Zimmerman (klz2@psu.edu) for the time and date.
