 From "CLIX" Freeware

all as one line:

sudo rm -fP
/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices.LocalCache.csstore;rm -fP
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices.UserCache.csstore

These commands seem to apply to pre-Tiger OS X systems, in which the =20
Launch Services caches were

/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices.6B.csstore
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices.UserCache.csstore

I don't think they would work for Tiger, in which the Launch Services =20=

caches are

/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-*.csstore

Using -f with rm seems a bit dangerous, but maybe I'm just getting =20
paranoid. In any case, thanks for the pointer to CLIX -- looks like a =20=

useful application.

Apologies for this slightly OT question, but maybe the answers give
me a reason for upgrading to Tiger:

As far as I understood Tiger's PDF KIT gives us great support in
working with PDF (like TeXShop's new pdfsync feature is supposed to
be).
Does this also mean that one can use i.e. a PDFsearch in Texniscope?

Another question related to this.
I have seen the following post:

Does someone know if it also works with ConTeXt's project structure
(not \include or \input but \component etc.)?

Steffen
